No nagging Zone!

Wherever you may be, make it a "No Nagging Zone"!

Proverbs 27:15-16
15 A quarrelsome wife is as annoying
as constant dripping on a rainy day.

Quarrelsome nagging, a steady stream of unwanted advice, is a form of torture. People nag because they think they're not getting through, but nagging hinders communication more than it helps. When tempted to engage in this destructive habit, stop and examine your motives. Are you more concerned about yourself-getting your way, being right-than about the person you are pretending to help? If you are truly concerned about other people, think of a more effective way to get through to them. Surprise them with words of patience and love, and see what happens. www.youversion.com
Ahem...this not only applies to wives...all humans take note, you could be a nag!

Proverbs 21:2

2 People may be right in their own eyes,
but the LORD examines their heart.

 People can find an excuse for doing almost anything, but God looks behind the excuses to the motives of the heart. We often have to make choices in areas where the right action is difficult to discern. We can help ourselves make such decisions by trying to identify our motives first and then asking, "Would God be pleased with my real reasons for doing this?" God is not pleased when we do good deeds only to receive something in return.  www.youversion.com

Extremely busy day ahead, I'm sure I'm not the only one so let's have a word of encouragement and instruction from our Father. This one may make you think "Ah ha" or "Oh No". Either way, it' a good word.

Proverbs 20:3
3 Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor;
only fools insist on quarreling.

A person who is truly confident of his or her strength does not need to parade it. A truly brave person does not look for chances to prove it. A resourceful woman can find a way out of a fight. A man of endurance will avoid retaliating. Foolish people find it impossible to avoid strife. Men and women of character can. What kind of person are you? www.youversion.com

Mocker/Wise

Proverbs 19:25

25 If you punish a mocker, the simpleminded will learn a lesson;
if you correct the wise, they will be all the wiser.

There is a great difference between the person who learns from criticism and the person who refuses to accept correction. How we respond to criticism determines whether or not we grow in wisdom. The next time someone criticizes you, listen carefully to all that is said. You might learn something.  www.youversion.com

Snooty

18 Pride goes before destruction,
and haughtiness before a fall.

Proud people take little account of their weaknesses and do not anticipate stumbling blocks. They think they are above the frailties of common people. In this state of mind they are easily tripped up. Ironically, proud people seldom realize that pride is their problem, although everyone around them is well aware of it. Ask someone you trust whether self-satisfaction has blinded you to warning signs. He or she may help you avoid a fall.

Oh Lord, help me over the fence!

Fearing People

Proverbs 29:25
25 Fearing people is a dangerous trap,
but trusting the LORD means safety.
Fear of people can hamper everything you try to do. In extreme forms, it can make you afraid to leave your home. By contrast, fear of God-respect, reverence, and trust-is liberating. Why fear people who can do no eternal harm? Instead, fear God who can turn the harm intended by others into good for those who trust him. www.youversion.com
