Rise Up and be confident in your God!

God speaks to us in many ways, through His word, from God fearing brothers and sisters, your pastor, through nature and circumstances.  I'm sharing some of the teachings I've heard this week.  I hope it brings you comfort and an extra measure of confidence and faith while you ride out the storm!
GOD RIDES ON THE WINGS OF A STORM!

John Hagee:

Triumph in the Day of Trouble
If you are in trouble you are in the perfection position to see the power of God in your life.

He is the God who delivers.

Call on Me. Prayer should be your first choice, not your last chance.

The bible is the Royal Decree from the King of Kings, He is saying, “Come to me I will help you!”

He will make a way where there is no way.

He will shake the very foundation of your prison and set you free!

HE IS MY DELIVERER
HE IS MY COUNSELOR
HE IS MY COMFORT
HE IS MY PROTECTOR
HE IS MY ADVOCATE
HE IS MY KING!
THERE IS NO MOTHER EARTH, THERE IS ONLY FATHER GOD
THERE IS NO EARTH SPIRIT, THERE IS ONLY THE HOLY SPIRIT
GOD RIDES ON THE WINGS OF A STORM!

What was God’s message through the flood?  "I will have the last word, I control the earth and the sea, I am God, there is no other!".

God uses earthquakes and such for the spiritually hard of hearing.

He that sits in the heavens laughs at the wicked.

Rod Parsley: You might have to trim down, in other words, you might have to lose some people in your life.  "I’m not sure but I might have to get rid of you", I’ve got no time for carnal people, got no time for stinking spirits!  Remember, when you have big problems you are vulnerable to bad advice.  There is only one answer, cry unto the Lord.  You don’t have time to be around people with stinking spirits!

Joyce Meyer:

In your situation, stay calm, stay sweet, and don’t fear, God will take care of you!

You are more than a conqueror, you belong to him, and you have already defeated the spirit of the anti-Christ.  The enemy comes to diminish us and make us weak in spirit, small minded, small soul.  We belong to God and only GOD!

What you are going through now is just a moment in time, God is working every moment that you are here, working on your situation…and suddenly the prison doors are open, you are due for a suddenly in your life!

As He is right now, so are we right now!   We don’t have wrongness in God, we have rightness.
When we make a mistake the devil tells u we are no good, as he is so are we in this world!!!  We are more than conquerors.  This isn’t a pep rally this is the truth!  Greater is He that in us than he that is in the world.  Fear intimidation, depression...it isn't right and isn’t who and what we are!
God isn’t worried about the lay off at work or the recession.  You are as He is…he isn't worried and neither should you be.

You need to:

1.Know God

2.Know what is yours as a believer

3.The same power that raised Christ from the dead is in us!!!!
Do you hear me, it’s in us!

The power is in me, the power is in YOU!

Jesus is seated at the right hand of God, not standing, seated, resting...because His work was over and he entered rest.  Where are we?  We are seated with him in heavenly places.  Mutter and murmur the right thing not the negative that we have been!

BE BOLD, CONFIDENT, FEARLESS!

More tomorrow!!!

Help me not to go there...

Psalm 141:4

4 Don’t let me drift toward evil
or take part in acts of wickedness.
Don’t let me share in the delicacies
of those who do wrong.

David asked God to guard his heart. Evil acts begin with evil desires. It isn't enough to ask God to keep you away from temptation, make you stronger, or change your circumstances. You must ask him to change you on the inside-at the level of your desires.

Overcoming and Opportunity

What The Lord Is Saying Today
Subscribe Forward to a Friend

December 7, 2011. The secret for overcoming attacks from the enemy is to call upon the Overcomer Himself who abides with you. The Spirit of God lives within you to exalt Jesus and to do so many other things. He will teach, lead and guide into the ways and path of the Lord. There are times when you know not which way to turn. At other times you cannot accurately assess the attack or the attacker. This is when you humble yourself and consider yourself of no account compared to Who is abiding within you. This Abider is not passive, timid or weak. He is altogether sufficient to win every battle and He gives you perfect strategy and tools for the battle. He will never leave you.

2 Chronicles 20:17 (AMP) "You shall not need to fight in this battle; take your positions, stand still, and see the deliverance of the Lord [Who is] with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Fear not nor be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you." Ras Robinson - Ras and Bev are fasting Wednesday AM through Friday PM for those who need miracles. December 7, 2011.  An opportunity is coming very soon.  You will have a choice.   I have been preparing you and drawing you.   But you are the one who will make the decision to participate.  I am purifying a stream.   This stream has been here for a long time, but now elements are coming together that will glorify Me in a way you have not yet seen.    You will ask, "can this be true?"  It is going to stretch way beyond your mind.  You won't understand it all.   But don't worry.  Don't touch it with any thought or hand of flesh.  Stay in the Spirit and you will see things you have longed to see.

1 Corinthians 2:7-8 (NASB) "but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory; the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory;"

Justice to the Poor

Psalm 140:12

12 But I know the LORD will help those they persecute;
he will give justice to the poor.
To whom can the poor turn when they are persecuted? They lack the money to get professional help; they may be unable to defend themselves. But there is always someone on their side-the Lord will stand by them and ultimately bring about justice. This should be a comfort for us all. No matter what our situation may be, the Lord is with us. But this truth should also call us to responsibility. As God's people, we are required to defend the rights of the powerless.

Have any of these? Don't lie, you know you do!

We all do and if you say you don't you are in denial, either that or you aren't human.

What's the problem with these?  Why can't we dabble and have a little?

Because, the "7 Deadly Sins" won't sit still, and on top of that, they grow!  It's like any seed that is planted...it's going to grow.  The problem with these, they grow out of control, take over and then you find yourself in a jungle and it's hard to fight your way out!

  • Lust – to have an intense desire or need: “But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Matthew 5:28).
  • Gluttony – excess in eating and drinking: “for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags” (Proverbs 23:21).
  • Greed - excessive or reprehensible acquisitiveness: “Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more” (Ephesians 4:19).
  • Laziness – disinclined to activity or exertion: not energetic or vigorous: “The way of the sluggard is blocked with thorns, but the path of the upright is a highway” (Proverbs 15:19).
  • Wrath – strong vengeful anger or indignation: “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger” (Proverbs 15:1)
  • Envy – painful or resentful awareness of an advantage enjoyed by another joined with a desire to possess the same advantage: “Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation” (1 Peter 2:1-2).
  • Pride - quality or state of being proud – inordinate self esteem: “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 16:18).

Seize the Day!

Gotchur helmet on? Shield? Weapon?  CHARGE!!!!  Seize the day peeps!!!

Ephesians 6:10-17
New Living Translation (NLT)
The Whole Armor of God
10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we[a] are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.[b] 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.[c] 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

“Give us water to drink!”

Life Application Study Bible ® Devotion

Exodus 17:2 (NLT)

2 So once more the people complained against Moses. “Give us water to drink!” they demanded.
“Quiet!” Moses replied. “Why are you complaining against me? And why are you testing the Lord?”
The people complained about their problems instead of praying. Some problems can be solved by careful thought or by rearranging our priorities. Some can be solved by discussion and good counsel. But some problems can be solved only by prayer. We should make a determined effort to pray when we feel like complaining because complaining only raises our level of stress. Prayer quiets our thoughts and emotions, and prepares us to listen.

You betta check yo self!

Phar·i·see
[far-uh-see]
noun
1. a member of a Jewish sect that flourished during the 1st century b.c. and 1st century a.d. and that differed from the Sadducees chiefly in its strict observance of religious ceremonies and practices, adherence to oral laws and traditions, and belief in an afterlife and the coming of a Messiah.

2. a sanctimonious, self-righteous, or hypocritical person.

You might be a Pharisee if:

·         Lack the ability to receive correction

·         I Boast I only listen to God and not to men.  God has put spiritual leaders in our lives.

·         Have an inclination to see the wrong in other people.  Fault finding is not a fruit of the spirit, it’s a demon spirit, it infects weak believers.  If you find yourself constantly being brow beat it’s the work of the devil wanting to beat you down and not believe in yourself.

Another word of wisdom, remember, you don’t have to express every thought that goes through your brain, it’s alright to be quiet, and it’s alright to give your mouth a rest.

·         You feel you’ve been appointed to fix other people.  Who are you to judge another?  Is someone constantly picking on you, telling you who you ought to be?  Stop letting people tell you who you ought to be. Let Christ tell you and enjoy the journey.

·         You feel you hear from God more than other people.

·         When your prayer life has become mechanical, it’s a performance, not a thing of passion.  You rehearse when you have to pray in front of others.  Prayer is to get you ready to do God’s will.

·         When you want to be recognized for everything you do in the kingdom of God.  "I brought colored toothpicks to the church social and you misspelled my name on the bulletin, how dare you, don’t you know who I am, I am important!"

·         You have a critical spirit of Holy Spirit manifestations…when you reject the holy spirit in the house of God, you reject God.
