But what if it’s true? You don’t want to go there!!!

Yesterday afternoon I watched this video and thought I would share it.  So many people are not even sure if hell exist, so they say why bother with God and all that religious stuff.  My question to those persons would be, but what if it is true, do you really want to take that chance.  Especially with something that you’ll have to endure forever?
It’s your choice!  Click here to watch video, it will chill you to the bone…

I’ve been pruned...

This morning I looked at the farmers Almanac to see if I was too late in pruning 0ur Crepe Myrtles…looks like it’s okay and not too late to prune them.  If you want to see the guide click this …Winter Pruning Guide for Trees and Shrubs.
After reading the pruning guide, my mind began to wander, lazily looping through the pruning scenario, turning it over and over in my mind.  Imagine a gardener with a big wide hat standing in the warm sun, lovingly gazing at the thorny rosebush…loving the plant but at the same time seeing potential in removing the dead branches.  Knowing that if all the dead things are removed the bush might be bare at first but later it will bloom the most brilliant beautiful roses.
Much the same way God gazes at us, so totally in love with us that he is willing to cut back all the dead things that ruin our beauty and potential brilliance.
Pruning may hurt for a while and it’s mighty uncomfortable, but when the blooming happens and the fresh leaves and flowers burst forth, the happiness and joy we feel far outweighs the pain and discomfort.
Thank you God for loving us and being the strong Father we need in every facet of our lives.  Thank you for doing what’s best for us even though we might not think so at the time.  You are wise, mighty and powerful in all your ways.
I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.
John 15:1-2 (NLT)

Great Word From T.D. Jakes

Still Time to Become What God Intended

The silent, sinister effects of apathy invade our consciousness, growing in the shadows like corrosion gathering on a battery.
We fill out our lives, trying to remain as busy as possible, often in a futile attempt to avoid the emptiness of being stuck in a job, a role, a school, or even a relationship from which we want /need desperately to evolve. Many lack the courage to reposition themselves beyond where they are now. Choosing safety over satiety, we make so many concessions in life until we have anesthetized any hope of limitless thinking or living.
Like an over-sized man in an undersized vehicle we are cramped and restricted in a life that is less than what we need. Many of us hide beneath a public persona, a privately unfulfilled person muffling the midnight screams, “Let me out!”
Is there anyone with the courage to steer the second half of your life beyond the dirt road of dumb decisions onto the massive highway of fresh challenge and invigorating scenery and blazing ideas? I must warn you, it will require change and chance, energy and synergy, timing and tenacity but it can be done.
Sadly, we look for others to give us the very thing we deny ourselves, solace for the past, space for the transformation, and support to find, mine, and produce our best selves.
No hitchhikers you pick up along the way can navigate you to the destination of a productive life. Neither husbands or wives, friends or mentors, can give you that internal permission needed to release you from being who you were, so that you can began the transformation into becoming who you long to be.
Now I know we all have failures, God knows I do. We live with countless things we wish we hadn’t done or said. But think a minute past the, quagmire of the “coulda, woulda shouldas.” If you armed your next choice with the benefits you have gained from your past experiences, building from both good and bad decisions and transformed the guilt into gas, wonder how much further you might be?
Have faith in yourself and in the God who has graced you with a fleeting moment of time. The stomp down gospel good news is you still have time to work a plan, take a class, relocate, redesign or what I call reposition yourself no matter what your age. The greatest asset is time.
Partner with it. Don’t ignore it. It is made exquisite by its rarity, exotic by its uncertainty, and extraordinary by its perpetual diminishment. At this point in your journey are you really happy? At this moment do you feel fulfilled or as I say filled full?
Given that most of your time is absorbed by your job, your friends and sleep. And without the wise use of time all hope of fixing this is gone. I do not want you to die with unfulfilled dreams in your eyes. I ask you only one thing but I hope you give it more than a flippant glance or a casual flirtatious gaze.
Hey friend, “What are you going to do with the time you have left?”

Ever looked at one up close?

The wonder of a snowflake, it boggles my mind.  Ever looked at one up close?  When you are finished reading, click on the pictures for an extra special treat!

From the book "The Snowflake: Winter's Secret Beauty"
How can a person look at something so beautiful and intricately detailed and deny there is a God? To deny there is a creator is like finding a pocket watch and saying, “Oh wow, this must have evolved!”, or maybe “Oh the elements of the earth must have miraculously come together and this happened!”
Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
Job 37:6 For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
Job 37:10 By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
Psalm 135:7 He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.
