that a certain person was “deader than a door nail”, of course I didn’t really mean they were dead but I meant they were boring. Nonetheless, my dear mother was horrified and reminded me that our words are containers, they carry either negative or positive power.
Say what?
Read this from the book “God’s Creative Power” by Charles Capps…
Christianity is called the great confession, but most Christian who are defeated in life are defeated because they believe and confess the wrong things. They have spoken the words of the enemy, and those words hold them in bondage.
Proverbs 6:1-2 says, “…Thou are snared with the words of thy mouth.”
Faith-filled words will put over.
Fear-filled words will defeat you.
Words are the most powerful thing in the universe.
Spoken words program your spirit (heart) either to success or defeat.
Words are containers. They carry faith or fear, and they produce after their kind.
If Jesus came to you personally and said, from this day forward it will come to pass, that everything you say will happen exactly as you say it; would that change your vocabulary? I believe it would.
The words you speak are seeds that produce after their own kind. Just as sure as they are planted, you can be equally sure a harvest will follow.

Oops! Think back on what you’ve said today…anything you shouldn’t have said? Yeah me too! We’ve got to stop this habit of speaking negative words over our lives and others…let us repent today and ask God for strength and the remembrance to speak LIFE!
Remember these words from our Father…
He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life. Proverbs 13:3
…the lips of the wise shall preserve them. Proverbs 14:3
The heart of the wise teaches his mouth, and adds learning to his lips. Proverbs 16:23
The mouth of the righteous man is a well of life. Proverbs 10:11
A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:20, 21
Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles. Proverbs 21:23
A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. Proverbs 18:7
Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. Proverbs 16:24
